Nourish, Flow & Create: A Journey of Yoga, Pottery & Lunch, celebrating Mother's Day May 10th 2026

Meet your hosts Fatima Morrissey, Novy Lodder, and Rachael Trotter

In the quiet, green enclosure of Wellbeing Farm, on May 10th, three local Artisans: a ceramic artist, a spiritual healer, and a chef—are opening the farm gates to a sanctuary designed for every generation.

Nourish, Flow & Create isn't just an event; it’s a reclamation of time. In a city that moves at the speed of light, this day-retreat is open to all, not limited to grandmothers, mothers, teens, and children as young as three, to slow down and reconnect through the primal elements of earth, breath, and flavor. The Slow Journey: Arriving at the Sanctuary

The retreat begins before you even step onto the farm. For those traveling from the city or neighboring islands, the Sunday morning journey to Mui Wo is the first step in "slowing down".

The day begins at Pause Cafe Mui Wo, which opens at 8:00 AM. Located just steps from the pier, this local wellness hub serves as our official "waiting room". Confirmed guests receive a 50% discount on their morning drink—the perfect excuse to center yourself before the short, scenic stroll through the village paths to the farm for our 9:00 AM start.

The Flow: Grounding (09:15 AM)

The day begins at Wellbeing Farm with a 90-minute immersion of heart-opening yoga and a restorative sound bath with Rachael Trotter of Jade Mantis. As the morning light hits the garden, guests are led through a practice designed to clear the "mental load" often carried by mothers and caregivers.

The practice is intergenerational by design. While grandmothers find ease in gentle, restorative movements, the youngest "little makers" are invited to listen to the vibrations of the singing bowls—a sensory experience that captivates even a three-year-old’s wonder.

The Create: Making A Vessel (10:45 AM & 01:30 PM)

Following the morning flow, the journey moves into the creative heart of the day. Led by founder and ceramic artist of Lantau Pottery Studio, Fatima Morrissey, the pottery workshop is uniquely split into two chapters to optimize the medium of clay.

  • Part I: Form & Foundation (10:45 AM): Guests focus on the structural build, using traditional hand-building techniques to mold raw earth into a functional vessel.

  • Part II: Detail & Surface (01:30 PM): After the midday feast, guests return to their pieces. This break allows the clay to "rest" and firm up, making it the perfect consistency for adding handles, intricate textures, and decorative slips.

The Nourish: A Feast in the Garden (12:00 PM)

At 12:00 PM sharp, the focus shifts to the long table. Chef Novy of  Novy’s Kitchen has curated a "Lantau Garden" feast—a celebration of seasonal, local ingredients served communally. This is the bridge between the two creative sessions; a time for the "matriarchs" to sit together and for stories to pass between generations over beautiful, soul-filling food.

A Destination Day Trip

While the retreat concludes at 2:00 PM, we encourage families to make a full day of Mui Wo’s charm. Visit the nearby Silver Mine Waterfall, stroll the sandy curve of the beach, or rent bicycles to explore the village paths before catching the late afternoon ferry home.
