Most people haven't touched a pottery wheel before, which is the point: nobody on your team has an advantage, and watching a colleague fight with clay for the first time tends to say more about how people work together than another trust exercise would. We build the session around your group size, your timeframe and what you're actually trying to get out of the day — anything from a relaxed 2-hour pottery-painting session to a full hand-building or wheel-throwing workshop.

Workshop Techniques Options
Our corporate workshops typically run for groups of 8–30 people, over 2–3 hours — enough to fit into a half-day offsite. Ask about full-day retreat options if you want to build a longer day around it.
Wheel Throwing
This is the one that gets people laughing at themselves. Centring clay is harder than it looks, first attempts wobble, and that's exactly what makes it a good icebreaker. We have 10 wheels, so groups of up to 20 rotate through in a relay.
Hand Building
A slower, table-based option — teams can work on individual pieces or build one shared piece together, which works well for larger or mixed-skill groups. Groups of 8–30 welcome.
Pottery Painting
The fastest and simplest option: everyone paints a ready-made piece and leaves with something, no wheel skills required. We can host up to 30 guests, either at our Mui Wo studio or at your office or venue — the most flexible option if your group is large or spread across skill levels.

We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
Duration: Usually 2-3 hours
Due to the delicate nature of wet clay, the hand building and wheel throwing workshop must take place at our studio location so we can manage post-production glazing and firing.
