Meet the Artist

Fatima Morrissey's journey as an artist began with a childhood fascination for clay. She believes that the joy of playing with mud transcends age, and finds the cool, pliable consistency of clay both calming and therapeutic. Fatima is captivated by the creative process and the transformative nature of clay. A graduate of the pottery program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, she has honed her craft and developed a unique artistic voice.
Fatima's artwork has been embraced by private collectors and international art enthusiasts alike. She is deeply grateful that her work resonates with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, and appreciates the support of those who have invested in her artistic journey.
Her functional and sculptural ceramic pieces blend European and Asian folk art influences, reflecting her life experiences and personal narrative. Through her art, she aims to spark curiosity and ignite the imagination.
As a mother, Fatima's art and business are intertwined with her family life. Balancing creative pursuits with her roles as a parent and wife is a constant but rewarding challenge. Her children inspire her to embrace spontaneity and joy, while her art provides a means to express the depth of her experiences as a woman, creator, lover, and caregiver.
