We use ceramic clay and lead free glaze fired to over 1200°C, and food safe.

Hand Build a ceramic Tray of Togetherness; a Chinese New Year Candy Box: The Tray of Togetherness is traditionally use to welcome visiting guests around the Lunar New Year. It is customary for the tray to have six or eight compartments (6 symbolizing luck, and 8 fortune) filled with symbolic edible items. We will utilize slab building and coiling for construction and decorate with texture underglaze and glaze.

Wheel-throwing decorative Lidded Jars: Our experienced instructors will guide the young potters through the basic wheel throwing techniques, with the objective of throwing a closed form to be made into a lidded jar. With two days dedicated to having fun on the pottery wheel students will have a minimum of 4 pots that are beautifully finished. The last two days will be dedicated to decorating with ceramic colors and glaze.
