CERAMICS WORKSHOP AND GALLERY

Lantau Pottery Studio formerly known as Little Egret Studio is located in the beautiful, vibrant, beachside village of Mui Wo in Hong Kong. Established in 2013, We showcase and sell locally made ceramics and art, and host regular pottery lessons for adults and children. By sharing our craft and knowledge, we strive to build a dynamic and rewarding environment by maintaining a communal space,  through organizing workshops, and generally living the pottery life and creative ceramics experience.

Team building

The art of creating is essential for child development; we encourage critical thinking through the creative process, expanding ideas, and strengthening children's fine motor skills and artistic exploration through sculpture and painting.

Join our ongoing Adults Pottery lessons, we will start with the basics of hand-building: you will be introduced to pinching, then coiling and slab building before progressing to wheel throwing so you get a grasp of the process, limitations, and possibilities when working with clay.

The creative pottery experience offers a unique opportunity for self discovery and to improve team dynamics . This workshop is suitable for all skill levels and is a great place to create, innovate, and put your problem solving to the test. We offer a few different projects depending on group size and desired outcome.

Wheel-Throwing Classes

Book a workshop for a birthday party, family activity, hen do party, or just spend some quality time with friend.
You can choose between a wheel throwing workshop or hand-building project. 

Create a piece of art that you can use and appreciate everyday. Choose from our selection of ready made pottery and allow your creativity to flow. Use our large selection of non toxic, food safe, ceramic colors (underglazes) to paint your very own design.

Try your hand at this introductory wheel-throwing workshop.  Understand the fundamental properties of clay and the importance of wedging. Learn how to center, open, and form.

Getting To The Studio

From Central Ferry Pier No.6

Only 30 min. with the fast ferry, then 10 min. walk from Mui Wo ferry terminal to Lantau Pottery Studio.

From Tung Chung City Gate

Only 40 min. by 3M bus, Tung Chung Station Bus Terminus to the Mui Wo Wet Market, then just a 2 min. walk to the Studio, you cant miss it.
